Description• This box set combines 7 albums from the bands career featuring a new interview with Rich Davenport for the booklet's notes. Audio has been re-mastered from original tapes wherever possible and whole package is housed in a 7" x 7" set. Limited edition 1,000 signed insert. The new Gillan 7-CD box set offers a comprehensive collection of the band's work during the years from 1978 to 1982, when they rose to prominence in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) scene. The set includes seven albums from this era, featuring studio recordings, a live album, and a wealth of B-sides and bonus material. The albums featured in this set are as follows: Gillan (The Japanese Album) - Originally released in September 1978, this was the debut of the band formed by Ian Gillan after leaving the Ian Gillan Band. It marked a shift away from jazz fusion to a heavier rock sound. Mr. Universe - Released in 1979, this was a key album that solidified their success, featuring a mix of hard rock and NWOBHM influences. Glory Road - A 1980 release, this album is considered the height of the band's success, both commercially and musically. Future Shock - Released in 1981, this album continued the band's momentum, but guitarist Bernie Tormé left shortly afterward. Double Trouble - A double album from 1981 that combined studio tracks and live performances and marked Janick Gers' debut as guitarist. Magic - Released in 1982, this was the band's final studio album before they disbanded after their last performance at Wembley Arena in December 1982. Double Trouble Live (1980-1981) - A live album capturing the band's powerful live performances at the Reading Festival in 1980. The collection includes a new interview with Ian Gillan conducted by Rich Davenport, providing deeper insights into the band's history and the albums. The audio has been remastered from the original tapes where possible, ensuring high-quality sound. The packaging is designed in a 7" x 7" format, with 32-page booklet, offering a unique visual presentation for collectors. This set is a valuable offering for fans of Gillan and collectors of rock history, especially from the era of NWOBHM, showcasing the evolution of a band led by one of rock's iconic vocalists.Tracks- Disc 1 -1 Street Theatre (Instrumental)2 Secret of the Dance3 I'm Your Man4 Dead of Night5 Fighting Man6 Message in a Bottle7 Not Weird Enough8 Bringing Joanna Back9 Abbey of Thelema10 Back in the Game11 Vengeance12 Move with the Times13 Sleeping on the Job14 Roller- Disc 2 -1 Second Sight2 Secret of the Dance3 She Tears Me Down4 Roller5 Mr. Universe6 Vengeance7 Puget Sound8 Dead of Night9 Message in a Bottle10 Fighting Man11 Smoke on the Water - Live at Kingsway Studio- Disc 3 -1 Unchain Your Brain2 Are You Sure?3 Time and Again4 No Easy Way5 Sleeping on the Job6 On the Rocks7 If You Believe Me8 Running, White Face, City Boy9 Nervous10 Handles on Her Hips - B-Side of No Easy Way11 I Might As Well Go Home (Mystic) - B-Side of No Easy Way12 Higher and Higher - for Gillan Fans Only13 Your Mother Was Right - for Gillan Fans Only- Disc 4 -1 Future Shock2 Night Ride Out of Phoenix3 (The Ballad of) the Lusitania Express4 No Laughing in Heaven5 Sacre Bleu6 New Orleans7 Bite the Bullet8 If I Sing Softly9 Don't Want the Truth10 For Your Dreams11 Trouble - A-Side12 Your Sister's on My List - B-Side of Trouble13 Mutually Assured Destruction - A-Side14 The Maelstrom - B-Side of Mutually Assured Destruction15 Take a Hold of Yourself - B-Side of New Orleans16 One for the Road - B-Side of No Laughing in Heaven17 Lucille - B-Side of No Laughing in Heaven18 Bad News - B-Side of No Laughing in Heaven- Disc 5 -1 I'll Rip Your Spine Out2 Restless3 Men of War4 Sunbeam5 Nightmare6 Hadely Bop Bop7 Life Goes on8 Born to Kill9 Spanish Guitar - Flexipop Magazine Dec 81- Disc 6 -1 No Laughing in Heaven2 No Easy Way3 Trouble4 Mutually Assured Destruction5 If You Believe Me6 New Orleans7 Bite the Bullet - B-Side of Nightmare / Reading 29.8.818 On the Rocks - B-Side of Restless / Reading 29.8.819 Mr. Universe - B-Side of Trouble / Reading 22.8.8010 Vengeance - B-Side of Trouble / Reading 22.8.8011 Smoke on the Water - B-Side of Trouble / Reading 22.8.80- Disc 7 -1 What's the Matter2 Bluesy Blue Sea3 Caught in a Trap4 Long Gone5 Driving Me Wild6 Demon Driver7 Living a Lie8 You're So Right9 Living for the City10 Demon Driver [Reprise]11 Breaking Chains - B-Side of Living for the City12 Purple Sky - B-Side of Living for the City Pic Disc13 Fiji - B-Side of Long Gone14 Helter Skelter - Album Outtake, Issued on First CD Release 198815 Smokestack Lightning - Album Outtake, Issued on First CD Release 198816 South Africa - A-Side - Ian Gillan Solo Single 198817 John - B-Side of South Africa18 South Africa - Extended 12" Version
